Auditions and Designer Submissions
Our 2017-2018 Season Auditions for Adult Professionals
We hold our season auditions together with our friends at The Coterie Theatre.
WHAT: Unicorn Theatre and The Coterie Theatre will hold combined auditions for professional adult actors (18 years of age and older) - Equity and non-Equity - for their respective 2017-2018 seasons.
WHEN: April 24, 25; May 1, 2, 3, 2017. Auditions are by appointment only. The online audition sign up will open April 3, at 12:00 p.m. (CST).
April 24, 1:00 - 5:55 p.m. - Open to Equity & non-Equity online
April 25, 2:15 - 5:55 p.m. - Open to Equity & non-Equity online
May 1, 1:00 - 5:55 p.m. - Open to Equity & non-Equity online
*May 2, 2:15 - 5:55 p.m. - Held for Equity appointments made by phone April 3-7. Open to all online starting April 8.

Online audition scheduling will open through a link on this page Monday, April 3, by 12:00 p.m. (noon CST).
WHERE: Unicorn Theatre, 3828 Main Street, Kansas City, Missouri.
OTHER: Actors will be asked to perform two contrasting contemporary monologues (no classical, no Shakespeare), two minutes each; no musical material. Singing auditions will occur only if called back. Actors must bring two head shots and two resumes.
*ACTORS EQUITY MEMBERS ONLY: Equity members may schedule an appointment for May 2 or May 3, by calling 816-474-4241. Calls will be answered/returned 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (CST). These two dates will open to Equity and non-equity for online scheduling starting April 8.
Audition Slots Full?
- Check back! Slots may open online if auditioners cancel their appointment.
- Actors are welcome to show up to the Unicorn lobby during any of the audition dates as there will be no-shows that you can fill. Be prepared to wait.
